Israeli financial law. International perspective. Gilinsky & Co. brings a distinguished British legal tradition to the heart of Israel's capital markets.
Bernie Gilinsky was admitted as an English Lawyer in 1956 after studying law at LSE in London and training in Birmingham, and subsequently qualified in Ontario and British Columbia in Canada, and New South Wales in Australia.
Gilinsky joined City of London firm Davies, Arnold Cooper (DAC), where he became one of the six equity partners. In 1972, Gilinsky left DAC and established S. B. Gilinsky & Co., Solicitors and Commissioners for Oaths, in London.
The current firm was established in 2023 by his son, David Gilinsky in Israel, and seeks to provide the highest level of client service and quality legal advice to clients from Israel and around the world who wish to undertake business in Israel, or to get involved, in whatever way, in the financial markets in Israel.
Our priority is to understand the client's needs and to provide the most appropriate solution to meet that need, something which is not necessarily what it appears to be on first sight.
Our team regularly travels abroad either on behalf of, or in order to visit clients, for example, to the UK, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Spain, Hungary, and the GCC jurisdictions.
We are a small boutique Israeli law firm that offers top quality advice, and personal service that is attuned to the commercial and specific circumstances and needs of our client.
Unlike some of our larger competitors, we are able to charge a reasonable, affordable fee for our work, and we can offer our clients direct access and service from an experienced, dual qualified, native English-speaking lawyer.
If you want a lawyer who can manage your legal affairs in perfect native English, and work opposite your other professional advisers and service providers in the UK, North America and elsewhere on the basis of a level playing field of experience, then we should be your first point of call.
Where appropriate we are able to offer a fixed price for a piece of work, instead of charging on an hourly basis. On fund establishment work we are able to consider working on the basis of an abort fee and success fee method.
We provide advice for:
We do not act for clients on litigation, family, property or criminal law matters, however, we know some excellent law firms who do work in these areas, both in Israel and in England, and we can introduce clients to a suitable legal advisor.
